When theoretical physicist Neona Smith develops an entangled laser that can send information forward and backward in time, her only ambition is to win the respect of her peers. On a whim, she points her laser toward the Gemini constellation and gets what she least expects: a response.As Neona learns to communicate with interstellar civilizations so far in the past and future that they don't presently exist, she believes she is making friends among the stars.Then the attack on Earth begins.
