Originally published in 1924, "e;Dreams"e; is a collection of short stories written by South African writer Olive Schreiner. Her second book, "e;Dreams"e; contains eleven short stories inspired by Schreiner's dreams and her experiences living on a South African farm. Olive Schreiner (1855-1920) was a South African anti-war campaigner, intellectual, and author most famous for her highly-acclaimed novel "e;The Story of an African Farm"e; (1883), which deals with such issues as existential independence, agnosticism, individualism, and the empowerment of women. Other notable works by this author include: "e;Closer Union: a Letter on South African Union and the Principles of Government"e; (1909), and "e;Woman and Labour"e; (1911). Read & Co.
