The story begins after Marty and Sara have been away from Dragonairon for 1000 dragon days. Marty and Sara are back from their vacation with news about what they learned about the Civil War (which was the last time people came to Dragonairon). They help prepare for the Five and the Round summit. There is a lot of energy in the air as the Amulets are joined, and all the dragon kingdom leaders are in one place.
