Dimidium

Aristophanes once theorized that all people, in the beginning, were quite different than those who exist today. In his mind, we each were physically connected to what we would now refer to as our "e;soul mate."e; They were, in every way, the other half of ourselves. It's a romantic and relatable notion that many of us, in our deepest hearts, wish to be true. For twelve individuals it is a curse, a real and torturous existence. Once six massive beings, their power and threat to Zeus became too great. In his fear, he split each being in two, sending them to opposite ends of the universe and condemning their consciousness to exist in human form, lifetime after lifetime, in yearning for and search of one another. Sensing the time was right, someone who terrified even Zeus himself arrives, and he leaves the fate of the world in the hands of the twelve, the Dimidium. Can true love triumph over the greatest evil we have ever seen? Can it restore broken memories scattered into time? As the hour glass runs dry, the strength of the heart and friendship are this planet's only hope.
