This book constitutes the proceedings of the 5th European Conference, EMOOCs 2017, held in Leganes, Madrid, Spain, in May 2017. The 23 full and 10 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 53 submissions. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have marked a milestone in the use of technology for education. The reach, potential, and possibilities of EMOOCs are immense.
