Digging for Roots: Travels in Iceland

In search of his family history, Brian Borgford travelled to Iceland to seek the origins of his ancestors. In his two-week trip Brian visited all the places described in his grandfather's memoir written over seventy years earlier. The magical sights in Iceland provided a link from days of Pagan worship to the days of mass migration from the harsh environment. Modern day Icelanders show a strong reverence for their history and culture. Icelandic Sagas still shape the thinking of the island's three hundred thousand residents.
