Difan, Chengui, Court Motto

Difan is an emperor's textbook written by Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty for Prince Li Zhi in his later years. Difan has four existing volumes, including twelve chapters such as the monarchy, establishing marriage, seeking talents, adjudicating officials, admonition, dissatisfaction, admonition, admonition, frugality, reward and punishment, farming, martial arts, chongwen, etc., involving a number of important issues concerning the emperor's governance and political affairs. According to the records of Old Tang BookA*Jiji Zhi, Chengui was written by Wu Zetian, specifically about the way of being a minister. This book puts forward the principles of subordinates from ten aspects: homogeneity, loyalty, obedience, justice, remonstrance, honesty, prudence, honesty, good generals, and good people. The central idea is to require every minister to become a figure with both ability and political integrity, loyal to the king and love the people, so as to establish a strong ruling order. Court Motto is Yongzheng Emperor AixinjueluoA*Yinzhen recounting his father Kangxi Emperor AixinjueluoA*Xuanye's admonitions to the princes in daily life. It was completed in the eighth year of Yongzheng (1730). There are a total of 246 articles, including reading, self-cultivation, politics, treating others, respecting the elderly, filial piety, controlling subordinates, and minor trivial matters in daily life. The content is specific, vivid and true, without frills.
