Dementia Painting

A book about one persons experience of painting through dementia. A historical background is given to look at the reasons that Joan my have become an artist and also the other conditions of her life - especially being a housewife and mother. There is also some polemic about working class artists and the invisible limitations on amateur art.

Includes many full page colour illustrations of Joan's paintings that show the progression of her work from formal realist to become more abstract.
