Defending a Ghost

A young teen''s prefect world is forever changed. John Paul Derryberry at age 14 faces life without his father. He struggles to piece together how to move on and attempts to hide the fact that he is falling apart from his friends. John struggles to stay connected to his broken family and not stand out as an awkward teenager. He reaches the point where he doesn''t recognize the young man looking back at him in the mirror. The only motivation keeping John going is his attempt to keep a promise to his father and a best friend who shares in his pain.
