Amelia and Margaret are supposed to be taking unwanted babies and placing them with new families. But the police find dozens of tickets for pawned baby clothes and no evidence of the babies themselves, sparking a desperate pursuit across Victorian London with the life of a newborn in the balance.This is a short story.
