Carly Brooker is a breeder of thoroughbred horses. The last winter was harsh. He lost his mother and youngest brother. However, it did bring his beloved Julia and hertwo sons to live with them. Carly and Julia married and now she is part of hisdysfunctional family. Carly's father, Murphy Brooker, has always favored Carlys siblingsover Carly.
