Perspectives on Modern World History

This volume explores the historical and cultural events leading up to and following the June 1944, the Allied invasion of Normandy. This book also addresses several issues surrounding the invasion, such as whether the invasion was necessary, whether D-Day marked the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany, and whether Winston Churchill was pressured into backing D-Day by American demands.
