Culture and its devices

Spreading culture and making good use of its devices are considered effective factors in correcting what we sometimes complain about, such as corruption in morals, weakness in character, or inability to bear responsibility and solve the problems that our speech may face in life. This is because culture is no longer considered a mental luxury, but rather a way of life whose value we can realize if we imagine the spread of a paper epidemic that destroys the books humanity has collected in its coffers. Books are not only treasures of knowledge, but they are also means of thinking, sharpening and training intelligence, to the point that it has been said: The quality of any book depends on the extent of its ability to become for its reader a means of thinking. If knowledge is the means of controlling nature and life and harnessing them for the good of man, then training intelligence is the best way to put life in human hands.
