Crawling on the Highway

When I came to America, I thought that I left my reasons to be afraid, back in Lebanon. There was no one to threaten me with punishment if I didn't follow orders to the tee. There was no one to pick me up by my hair and throw me to the floor if I didn't understand something right away. No one to call me dummy; that I didn't deserve to eat; that it was better to give my food to the animals.Hopefully, after reading this book, you will be inspired by my story, gain some strength, and learn to never give up, even in the face of near-death. Hopefully, what I overcame to move forward will be an inspiration to others struggling on their life's highway. If I can make it, you can too. Never, never, never give up!
