Cost Management

This work has its roots in the insights the author has gained from his consultancy work, including the Ponta do Madeira railway terminal in S o Luis do Maranh o, the largest terminal in the world in this area, dealing with private work marked by a railway track almost 30 km long and 400 m wide. He has also been involved in public works, such as highways that exceed 300 km, dykes and dams, ports and airports, water supply systems, sewage systems, flood containment, among others. Having been involved in a variety of heavy civil construction projects, he has had the opportunity to delve into the bowels of the sector, most recently as an external control auditor and professor on the roads course. This environment has been observed in the light of economics, so he has been able to highlight the need for a professional view of project management, with the specific issue of costs being the focus of discussion. In addition to numerous technical and scientific articles, this is his fourth book, this time bringing together public and private administration to form more strategic, productive and mature environmental, social and economic links, especially the latter.
