From the mid-1950s through 1961, a young teenager was coming of age in an era that witnessed the advent of Rock and Roll music, a revolution in clothing styles, the introduction of television to the masses, the automobile craze, and dramatic changes in the way teenagers viewed adults and the world. Upon reaching his teen years, girls, parties, sex, and his infatuation with his beautiful eighth-grade teacher drove most of his thoughts and actions above all else that was occurring around him.
