Comparing and contrasting syntactic structures.

This multilingual publication examines different kinds of dependency relations across several languages: French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Finnish and Swedish, as well as English-based Creoles. The various contributions treat dependency in noun phrases, within different clause types and at the borderline between main and subordinate clauses, as well as discuss constructions traditionally regarded as subordinate which may function as independent clauses.
