Communicating In German, (Novice Level)

This is a proficiency based book in keeping with the present trend in foreign language instruction advocated by the prestigious ACTFL. It will develop communicative competency or language proficiency to give students the tools to meet their needs and survive in German whenever such a situation arises. It presents basic, utilitarian material different from foreign language courses of the past which can be used to supplement the more traditionally based course and also where professors are completely in accord with ACTFL's recommendations. These supplements (either novice, intermediate, or advanced) can be used in conjunction with any standard basal text.
