Common Thoughts: Poems and Essays

Frank Alan Burr gives his evocative, and often humorous, views of life from a unique perspective. During a three decade-long career as a middle manager in information technology, he began recording his thoughts via poetry and the personal essay in an effort to maintain his sanity in the corporate world. After taking early retirement, he began a less stressful endeavor as a school crossing guard, and, during this period, wrote a weekly opinion column for a local publication. This compilation includes a variety of his works completed over the last 20 years.
