Colloidal Gas Aphrons

Surfactant-layered microbubbles, or colloidal gas aphrons (CGAs), can serve as a cost-effective alternative to surfactant solutions. CGA-based flotation is an effective and versatile separation technique capable of recovering diverse materials. In this book, the properties and flow characteristics of CGAs prepared from natural surfactants are explained in relation to wastewater remediation. In the petroleum industry, CGAs have been successfully used as drilling fluids for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
