You can run, but you can’t hideIt’s the end of November and bitterly cold in the Lake District. A frozen decomposed body is found in a peat ditch up on Bampton Common high above Haweswater reservoir. DI Kelly Porter is highly puzzled by the arrows found around the body – not your average murder weapon. By digging into missing persons reports from across the country, Kelly is able to trace a victim. However, this brings more questions than answers when links to other cases come to light. The area has always been a favourite with hunters – could they have turned to human prey?
