Dr. Richard "Dick" Cohen temporarily stepped away from his successful tenured university professor's position in 1980 to venture into the auto salvage business with a friend. At the same time, they began buying, driving, vintage racing, and later selling Shelby Mustangs, Corvettes, Cobras, and GT40s. Among these sales were several extremely rare Corvettes, Shelby Cobras, Ford GT40s, '37 Cords, a '63 Galaxie 500 Lightweight, '70 Hemi 'Cudas, Panteras, and three '65 Shelby R-Models found in Lima, Peru--and that's just the start. But the most prized of them all was the '66 Ford GT40 that Ken Miles drove across the finish line at LeMans that year, as depicted in the movie Ford v Ferrari.
