Rustle rustle rustle. "What is it?" "It's a snake. A little green snake." Gloria takes chase, but little does she know that her friend Edwina is hot on her tail. Who will have grit and who will get the goods?

Chooks on a Mission is a light-hearted series of stories about two chooks who go on adventures around the farm. Along the way, they learn about character building, including resilience, determination, kindness and how to be a good friend. Through the use of targeted phonics, each book examines a particular sound or letter combination to increase phonemic awareness and reading fluency in children.

For teachers and parents, each book contains Mission Questions that help guide the reading of each adventure, and encourage young readers to engage with texts on a deeper level.
