Chinese Popular Literature Collection was a set of compiled stories published by Chung Hwa Book Company, Hong Kong in 1950s and 1960s. The collection aimed at "e;introducing some literature and basic knowledge of educational meaning to audience through popular words and vivid details"e;, following the principle of "e;Promote Chinese culture and popularize enlightenment education"e; raised by Chung Hwa Book Company. The collection contained 320 pieces of work, including worldwide celebrity stories, worldwide literature excerpts, history, geography, scientific knowledge and folklores, which still had its values and influence at present.This time, five stories of ancient Chinese emperors (Emperor Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Gaozu of Han, Cao Cao, Emperor Taizong of Tang and Genghis Khan) are selected as the 2nd series of the remastered version. These stories are legendary and well-known, keep the original sense of Chinese Popular Literature Collection, while allow audience to understand the efforts of knowledge popularization made by Chung Hwa Book Company 60 years ago.
