Chica, Chica, Señorita

In Cuba, on a beautiful sandy beach, surrounded by clear blue water, stood a giant castle. People would come from far away to visit the castle and explore its surroundings. One day, when doing just that, a Canadian woman discovered a puppy outside of the fence lining the castle grounds. From the moment the two locked eyes, the woman knew the puppy was meant to be a part of her family.

Inspired by the author's real-life experience, Chica, Chica, Se orita tells the story of a small dog's triumphant journey across the sea to her furever home. The author hopes to inspire young readers and families to consider if rescuing or adopting an animal is right for them.
