When I have an opportunity to enjoy a really fine steak, I chew slowly, not because it's hard to swallow, but because I want to savor each bite as long as I can. I hope that's what you find within these pages. If you happen to come upon some occasional redundancy in these pages, good for you. You were obviously paying attention. FYI, I noticed them too. So I'll ask, if you would, to indulge not me, but rather to indulge Him. After all, that is what this book is about, actually it's what everything is about, our not too overly, appropriately, self-indulgent God.And, I also pray that you would be awakened to a superior satisfaction in Him that would sustain you through the sufferings of this life, from being cut off in traffic to a cancer battle and everything else that makes this life so hard at times.
