Chasing The Magic

An unexpectedly good-humored tale of a girl who is half witch and half wizard who helps her evil father escape from Hell to seek the power that has eluded him. They steal a magical artifact and a fortune in precious stones and race across half a continent looking for an army to hire – dim-witted trolls or inept demons, or anybody, he can’t be fussy.
In pursuit of them are their former adversaries – two students of magic – one of whom is the gifted and not-unattractive daughter of a once-powerful magician. The other is a student who can’t believe his luck. The girl’s father has bequeathed her his wizardly genes, his magical staff and, a zeal to fight for all that’s good about their world.
They are destined to meet their old foe again to finish what he started, with whatever powers and help they can muster along the way. They are seriously outmatched, but they know what they must do.
