After the flood 7Charybdis, part of After The Flood, is a volume with related stories dealing with what happens on the mainland parallel to the dramas on the coasts and at sea and, the characters involved in them. The story lines are kind of a puzzle and require a good memory. Toward the end, the two main lines melt together and, forge the last part of this section, preparing the reader for the conclusion of the epic: The Boat People.
