Characterization of Puerperal Depression and its Risks

Postpartum depression is a depressive mood disorder characterized by the lack of interest and rejection of mothers towards their children in the Puerperium Period until approximately one year after childbirth, affecting the health of the patient. It is a condition that occurs frequently in patients and is not properly treated. It is advisable to reinforce the affective bonds within the family nucleus that allows to diminish the impact of depression in patients after childbirth. It is important to remember that every person will have some problem. But it is even more important to know that for every problem our God has the remedy.
