Catalogue of European industrial capabilities in remote sensing

The first edition of the catalogue was compiled by EUROSPACE, under contract to the Joint Research Centre of the European Com munities. This second edition has been updated by JRC. Its aim is to present the equipment and services that can be provided by more than 80 companies from 10 European countries in the context of earth observation campaigns that could be organised in Europe or outside Europe in the short term. It is not an exhaustive catalogue. The companies that are shown in it are those who can cope with, and are willing to offer a significant contribution to such campaigns within the next two years.

For each of these companies, the catalogue presents: the main equipment that they manufacture and supply, such as sensors (on board aircraft or spacecraft) electronic equipment (on board aircraft or spacecraft) platforms (such as aircraft or balloons) or beacons receiving equipment for processing collected data data extraction equipment display terminals. Also the services that they can offer, such as general and economic studies organisation of measurement campaigns renting of sensors reception, preprocessing and editing of satellite data installation and operation of satellite ground receiving stations software for image and data processing analysis of remote by sensed data training of personnel technical assistance outside Europe.
