Can Rory Cardinal close the biggest deal of his life? Awoken from a three-year malaise, inmate Rory Cardinal is faced with the possibility of an early parole. But unlike the rest of his fellow inmates doing three-to-five years, the only chance he has for an early departure is to convince a majority of the Commonwealth's seven-member parole board. Will his adept use of denial be stripped away? Will he, perhaps for the first time, share in the disgruntlement and outright betrayal many of his customers experienced? That might be his only way out. The question is: Will his ego allow it? Or will he succumb to his pride and willingly serve out the remaining two years of his sentence?
