Canine Liver Disease: Suzy's Story of Cirrhosis and Survival

Suzy, our cocker spaniel, was finally correctly diagnosed with end-stage canine liver disease and first stage kidney disease in 2014. She was eight years old, and we were told by multiple reputable veterinary practices that there was nothing they could do. She had less than a month to live. After months of research, thousands of tears, and a very long stretch of hopelessness, one veterinarian saved her life. We are passing along what we learned with the hope that this veterinarian's preventative and life-giving work will save or improve the quality of your own cherished pet's life.
