Camber today boasts a beautiful new clubhouse and a thriving membership - but it was not always so. This book charts the trials and tribulations of more than a hundred years of this unique sports club's history, from murky beginnings in the early years of the twentieth century to the present day. It describes how Camber survived two world wars, two evictions, crippling debts, a serious of internal battles and thefts and finally the 2013 fire. Along the way we meet the personalities who made the club and enabled it to survive - and some who nearly brought about its demise.
