The young Reverend Pontius is engaged to be married to a suitable young woman and he has been promised his own chapel with a decent congregation. Everything is in place for a successful and respectable future. So why does he throw it all away and flounce off in search of a non-existent island? Is it real, or an elaborate practical joke?
