Calhoun

Calhoun is a sequel to Circumstances, a novel about a young woman who loses her memory and starts living her life over, constructing her new self along the way. She falls in love, and marries Jim Calhoun, who is the heir of a wealthy family. Calhoun is the story of that young woman and her son. Rachel Calhoun is a wealthy widow who has to raise her son, James alone. After a savage attack by a man she thought was a friend, Rachel leaves her California home to return to her late husband's ancestral estate where she and James share a happy life. But life isn't always easy, and Rachel's strength helps to carry her through rough times, and celebrations of good times, as well. James has inherited Rachel's strength which helps him to deal with events that would try most young men.
