Real Estate Agent Colleen Nelson is accused of torturing and killing her step-mother. To get her acquitted requires the concerted effort of her new attorney friend, Allen Jenkins, plus the hard work of Sergeant Linn Clemmons and the rest of the Hartford, Connecticut police department. Also very much involved is Private Investigator Don Skaggs, one of Jenkins' friends from college years. The discovery of a long-lost twin, a former husband who may not be so former, a half-brother with a grudge, a very crooked attorney, a cop on the take and more murders complicate the story to the very end. Will there be justice for the innocent victim in this twisted story?
