Cahiers de Memoire, Kigali, 2014

The Cahiers de memoire are stories of genocide, but the recollections include what happened leading up to and following it, the stories unfolding in three parts: before, during, and after. Genocide remains the unifying thread, the epicenter. The naming of the dead and the enunciative and memorial narrative are joined together, restoring the life/the reality of the women and men who perished.
