BY SILENT SEAS features poems about exotic South Pacific islands, O'ahu, Fiji, Samoa, among others, and some of the people who made them famous, Magellan, Cook, de Bougainville, Bligh, Stevenson, Melville, Gauguin, Maugham, Mead, Paoa. Theodore Lyons taught high school for 2 years in Independent Samoa and traveled across the South Pacific. This was his fourth book of poetry.
