Commissioned by Streatham Choral, By-by, Lullaby, By-by is Howard Goodall’s enchanting setting of a 16th century English lullaby carol, for SATB choir and organ. The music paints a serene picture with the tender words of a mother rocking her child to sleep. This short, accessible work is ideal for Christmas programming but equally suitable for performance at any time of the year.
