Buckingham: Bisexual Alcibiades

A hero to some, the Anti-Christ to others, loved and hated, Buckingham gained power thanks to his beauty and held it due to his intelligence. He was the lover of a king, and only an assassin's bullet could stop a heart that had inflamed countless women, a body desired by countless men. A thrilling life and a tragic death, as if he had been the embodiment of Alcibiades himself. On his tombstone was written: The Enigma of the World, and such was the case. As in my biography of Henry III and Louis XIII, I have no intention of giving the usual day-by-day description of what took place in the life of Buckingham, concentrating instead on the major people and events that marked his life--the reigns of Louis XIII, Charles V, Philip III and IV, James's mother Mary Queen of Scots, the creation of Malta (by a Buckingham ancestor), and others. The sexual side of all the participants will be fully revealed because, like the molten core of the earth, it is the governing motor of our very existence.
