Brothers of the Buffalo

In 1874, the US Army sent troops to subdue and move the Native Americans of the southern plains to Indian Reservations. This young adult novel chronicles the brief and brutal Red River War of 1874 from the perspective of two young men from opposite sides of the fight. Told from the perspectives of a young US Army Calvalryman and a young Cheyenne man, the novel portrays the events leading up to and through the conflict in the wild west.
