Bret and Pale Face Saved the Day

BRET AND PALE FACE SAVED THE DAYBret lives on a farm in Kansas, where thunderstorms like to rule the land. Bret goes to school concerned about his mare that is going to have a foal any day now. That evening, when the mare shows signs of needing the veterinarian to help, Bret is trying to call the vet, but the storm kills the electric and phone lines. Since trees are blown over on the roads, Bret figures out that the only way to reach the vet is for him to ride his favorite palomino, Pale Face , through the fields to the vet s house. Bret and Pale Face encounter more problems and excitement on their way to and from the vet s house. Will Bret get to the vet in time? Will Pale Face be able to walk again after his accident?
