Borrego Vista (Part One)

1969 found me living in Lynnwood, Tennessee, a quaint, Mayberry-like town where neighbors were family, crime was something that happened on TV, and everyone had exactly two parents.  It was a place where it was illegal to sell alcohol, no one locked his doors, and total strangers were trusted implicitly.       Then I moved to California.      What followed was a chain of events so off the wall, Forrest Gump would stood up and said:  "e;Damn.  Now that is weird!"e;      This is my story.
