The adaptable writing scaffolds and structured planning sheets in Boost Creative Writing Years 5-6 encourage children to talk about their writing, giving them the confidence to put their ideas down on paper.

While aimed at lower ability and unconfident writers, they can be used with all children.

A range of writing genres from stories and poems to book reviews and newspaper reports is covered.

The sheets have been extensively trialled and tested by the author, Judith Thornby, an experienced Learning Support Coordinator.

They have been shown to boost children's writing skills, give pupils confidence and make them believe that they can write.

The Boost Creative Writing Years 5-6 (ages 9-11) includes a handy Tips for Writing booklet that can be copied and bound to make a useful reference booklet for pupils, or sheets can be given individually as and when required.
