It's been 250 years since Earth was resettled by the colonists from the Mayflower. The population has continued to grow living free under the guidance of God's teaching. A formal government has never been needed. Then, a man well known to many of the colonists mysteriously disappears. Can the colonists face this new problem without forming a government? How will the colonists deal with an unknown illness that seems to be killing newborn children? Are they prepared to respond to something that could destroy everything? And monitoring it all is an orbiting computer. A computer that disobeyed an order from Captain Williams to go inactive. A computer named Purple.
