Book of Machinese Whispers, A

Familiar English poems, quotations, proverbs, nursery rhymes, jokes and speeches rendered to and from other languages, from Korean to Catalan, via automatic internet translation programs. The resulting travesties are funny (and sometimes even poetic) in themselves, but they are also gently thought-provoking, leading the reader into agreeable musing on, for instance, the delicacy of human language or the limits of the machine.
