Bohemian Swan

I've been writing since I was a child. I was inspired by the books I read, the music I listened to and my sense of humor. Most of these early writings have been lost over time, but I rediscovered my passion for writing in college. While it was part of the creative writing experience to have your fellow students critique your work, several of us found the best feedback was from our closest friends within the department. We formed our own writing group and would meet every Sunday for dinner at a local restaurant in Long Beach, CA. These friends not only made me a better writer, but encouraged me to submit my poems to literary magazines, both local and international. I was fortunate that a handful of these magazines truly liked my work and published a few of my poems.Although I put my writing on hiatus for several years, I was still asked when would I publish a book of my own. In 2017 I felt the creative itch to write again and considered all options on how to reach a larger audience with my writing. Bohemian Swan was born.
