Bluesalts: Gahye's Children

The Gahyens were human, except for one thing.Their blood was purple, containing oxygen-carrying cells based on both iron and copper.To maintain their copper levels, they consume a bright blue copper salt at meals. Thus, they have become known as 'Bluesalts'.Despite this, the thousand infants brought to Earth, along with their five adult companions, have been embraced by the peoples of Earth.Five years after their arrival, the children are beginning school......but not everyone wants them living among us... or living at all.
