After graduating from a second-tier law school Eddie Houlihan unexpectedly won job at a high-powered big city law firm. This is the story of his first year of law practice. He is forced to deal with issues of conflict of interest, law firm snobbery, legal ethics, litigation deadlines, discovery obligations and strategy, deposition tactics, trial tactics and strategy, admissibility of evidence, office politics and more. The story ends with a climactic jury verdict in his first trial.
