In her new homeland she worked hard long hours as a servant for a wealthy family. Just as life started to become enjoyable and rewarding, she suffered as many immigrant girls did the indignity of forced attentions. Now she exists behind creaky doors, narrow stairwells and gloomy corners. A powerful force determined not to be forgotten, denied or misplaced within the family.
